Sweet idly


  • Sooji -125 grams
  • Urad dal -75 grams
  • Cashewnuts-1/4 cup
  • Elaichi powder-1/2 tsp
  • Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
  • Edible soda-a pinch
  • Raisins-1 tsp
  • Aashirvaad Salt-to taste
  • Milk – 3/4 cups
  • Ghee – 1 spoon
  • Sugar Powder – ¾ Cups



Method :

Soak dal for 3 hrs,Green urad dal into paste and keep it for 8hrs

Fry Sojji in ghee light brown .Mix it with the dal with soda and Aashirvaad Aashirvaad Salt

Add grated coconut, eilaichi,sugar,dry grapes,and milk and prepare thick mixture and whisk it for 4 – 5 minutes and keep aside for hakf an hour,Greese the idly moulds with ghee

Fill idli mixture in the moulds and steam cook.

Serve hot with fresh Cream.

Note :I did'nt add any cashews,raisins as i was not having them at home at that moment so you can try with all those if you have..
