Bread halwa/Doble ka meeta

Ingredients :
  •  6-7 white bread slices
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • few strands of safron
  •  1/2 cup mixed nuts ( pistas, cashews, slices almonds )
  • Ghee 6tsp
  • Butter Half bar
Method :

Take bread slices(white or wheat),i prefer white sandwitch bread and cut all the sides of bread ends.

Take kadai/tawa with some oil/butter to fry bread slices untill the bread turns to brwon both sides.

Fry  all the breads taken and keep aside,mean while side by side prepare sugar juice by adding suagr in water on heat .

Sugar juice consistency should be medium.

In a wide plate or bowl take 1 cup  of milk,in that milk dip those fried bread slices one by one and put them in another plate.

Now cut those milk dipped slices in to small pieces and put them in to the sugar juice,add some ghee on the  top of dessert.

Add some cashews or some nuts to the sweet which are previously fried in ghee,add few strands of saffron and 1tsp cardamom powder which gives good flavour and taste.

keep it aside  for few hours so that the bread sugar juice can get mixed uniformly.

Dessert is ready to serve.

Note : This can be stored in refrigirator for few days.
