*Dosa Batter (quantity sufficient)
*White Onion - 1 medium
*Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
*Split Channa Dal/Putnalu - 1/2 cup - powdered fine along with Salt
*Ghee/Oil - 1 tbsp
* In a pan, fry in little oil chopped onions. When they become soft, add salt and Chili powder. Fry for another min or so. Grind to a smooth paste.
* On a hot Tawa, spread the Dosa Batter as one normally does.Circle the corners of the dosa with oil and turn around once the other side gets brown. Ghee is used as a variation instead of Oil sometimes.
* With the white side facing up, apply a spoon of red onion paste over the dosa and spread consistently.next apply one spoon full of bombay chutney over the dosa, Sprinkle the Dalia powder (putnalu podi).
* Close the Dosa and turn around to cook on both sides.
