Konkani style biryani

Ingredients :

* 1/2 Coconut
* 1/2 kg rice
* 1/2 kg mutton
* 1/2 kg curd
* 1/2 kg Onion
* 5-6 Tomatoes
* 4 tbsp Coriander seeds
* 1 tbsp Jeera
* 1/2 tbsp Sauf
* 4-5 Clove
* 10-12 Black Pepper
* Cardamon small piece
* 2 bunch Garlic
* 2 inch Ginger
* 1 bunch Coriander leaves
* 10-12 green chillies
* 4-5 potatoes
* 1 full lemon juice
* salt to taste
* 2 tsp Haldi
* 1/4th kg oil

Method :
 
  First grind dry masala i.e. Coriander seeds,jeera, sauf, Clove, Black Pepper, Cardoman in a mixture grinder and keep aside.

Now grind wet masala i.e. Garlic, Ginger, Coriander leaves, green chillies and coconut. Now add above masala with wet masala and blend them together.

Now apply all the above masala along with curd, lemon juice and salt to washed mutton and keep it to marinate for 15-30 minutes.

Now cut potato and fry them. Also cut onions and fry them in the same oil till they turn their color to golden brown.

Also cut tomatoes and keep aside.

Now in a vessel fry the marinated mutton until it is half cooked and add tomatoes in them.

Half cook the rice along with salt and keep aside.

Now in a vessel make layers of fried mutton and rice and the rice layer should be on the top.

Also decorate the top layer by fried potatoes, coriander leaves and round shaped cut tomatoes.

Dum biryani for 30-40 minutes.

Now the biryani is ready to eat. Serve hot with Onion tomato salad or chilli sauce
